Almost ready to run Submarines - Anyone dealt with Northseasfleet.co.uk
Almost ready to run Submarines - Anyone dealt with Northseasfleet.co.uk
Came across the follow site saying that they sell almost ready to run 1/96 scale Los Angeles, Alfa, and Kilo subs.
Has anyone heard of them before / done business with them?
Thanks
John
Don't know if I like the sounds of this (taken directrly from their ad for the Los Angeles kit)]At 1/96th scale
Dimensions:
length 114 cm. width 14cm. ht 71 cm (incl. perisc.) This model is normally sold in a slightly used condition[/b]
I checked the other sub kits, and they all say the same thing. It might prove beneficial for someone to ask them exactly what this means. It's possible that they're just "broken in" for pre-testing purposes, but I don't like the idea of paying for a new sub kit that's in "slightly used" condition.

Hello,
Nick (sub builder) from northseasfleet here, I would just like to clear up the point raised about slightly used condition. Each submarine is tested before being put on sale as they are sold as almost ready to run submarines and as such have to be water prof and ready to go. Both me and the co owner of NSF had a chat yesterday and have decided not to put the slightly used condition on anymore. All of these boats are sold clean and new as should be expected.
If you have any other feedback or questions they are all very welcome.
We hope to put a few articles in mags and on websites in the near future.
Thanks Nick
Nick you need to send someone here a sample of your subs to evaluate and then try and drum up business. We have a member in France that would, (I'm sure) be more than happy to test your products and give it his honest opinion.
Hello,
I think sending a model out for evaluation is a good idea, at the moment there are not enough hours in the day to coupe with demand so the idea will have to wait until a little later in the year. So if there is anyone out there who would be intrested in reviewing one or two of NSF models over the winter please let me know.
The Astute photos will be out at the end of the month.
Could I ask that anyone intrested in a NSF model contact me at nick@northseasfleet.co.uk, I dont think this is place to conduct my business. I would like to use this site for ideas and helpful info.
