What might happen if you

What might happen if you built one sphere with another outer sphere tied together with a honeycomb structure to tie them together. As the outer spherre compressed it would transfer some of the force through the honeycomb structure to the inner sphere.

Or filling the void between the spheres with Ceramic materials to combine the inner and outer sphere.
