Hi Carl,

I would like to thank you and Jeff Porteous for the great effort in getting my article published in the SCR on the OTW U-boat. Last week Jeff sent me an email and wanted to know if I was pleases with the way it turned out. My reason for this posting on the message board is to personally thank Jeff for all his fine work. I am by no means an English major, and sometimes my article may have had some awkward sentences. Jeff came to the rescue...

Hi Wayne,

I wish I could... Finances and Work tie me down for now. I will be retiring from my Job (NCR) in a few years. Then, I will be able to complete my U-96 and you couldn't keep me away from the SubRegattas. My wife Maureen even approves of the new location because the Carmel's reflecting pond is only about 3 feet deep. She has always given me a lot of flack about putting my $5,000 U-boat (when the WTC is completed)in a lake where it could get lost.
