pressure sensor setup: what do you think?

    Hello,
Here is an idea for my sensor setup. I'm concerned that the small ruber balloon won't last. It will cap off the senor tube and will be filled with silicon oil. Any thoughts on this?

Arg! Posting pictures must be easier than this. Well, I'll describe in words. The sensor has a 1/8" port. I'll couple the sensor with a copper tube to the endcap of the WTC. The copper tube will extend through the cap and will have a small rubber balloon attached to the end. These will be filled with sillicon oil.

    Any ideas will be appreciated

If you hook up a pressure sensor, all you need to know is that the thing is connected airtight. Especially if you use copper tubing to connect it to the outside pressure there is nothing to worr about. The waterpressure will compress the air in the pipe but as long as you keep a very thin tube, water will not get in far enough to damage your sensor.

"The waterpressure will compress the air in the pipe...."

      True enough.

"...but as long as you keep a very thin tube, water will not get in far enough to damage your sensor."

Au contraire. For a given increase in pressure, water will travel further in a thin tube than a larger one. Use large diameter.
