I was wondering, what is the proper way to store and care for rechargable batteries? I know there are different kinds out there but are their some guidelines that aply to most types? The kind I have are two NiCd Packs that are 7.2V each. Also I was thinking about getting somekind of "smart" charger. I've heard that their are ones made that have automatic cut off to prevent over-charging of a battery pack. Also, I've heard that some can charge just about any rechargable pack type that is currently avalible. What does everyone think and can you offer advice for buying a charger like that?
Rechargeable batteries? - Should have asked this sooner.

Hi Terry,
I have just purchased a charger that might fit your needs.
This charger is designed to charge 1 (1.2V) to 8 (9.6V) Nickel-Cadmium or Nickel-Metal Hydride cells ranging from 250mAH and higher and 1 (3.7V) to 3 (11.1V) Lithium Polymer cells ranging from 100mAH and higher, plus it has an automatic shut-off and you can run it AC or DC current!
Take a look
