Has anyone made a water proof motor for an R/C sub or sells the same. Now when I say water proof I am thinking more of the lines of those water pumps used in water gardens, I take it motor is incased in a sealed container filled with an oil. Those things last a very long time and are not that expensive. Does anyone know if there are any motors that can be found in the same manner? Thanks in advance , Mario

Thank for responding, I like
Thank for responding, I like would to see a small motor other then a pump incased in an oil sealed cylinder. This would come very handy in very tight spaces and smaller craft. I have a water pump in a pond and it hasn't wore out yet in 5 years. I don't like O rings to much , I have used them to in WTc's, and constantly replace them(o rings) , they seam to eventually warp when compressed air hits them (like the space shuttle tragedy) anyone else have a bad experince with o rings? Or an idea to remedy this? Thanks Mario .

Some guys - Fung Pang
Some guys - Fung Pang and Enrico Braglia for example, put motors unprotected "in the wet" all the time - with no WTC or other protective housing.
See RC-Submarines.com - Sewer Pipe Subs

However for sealing a rotating shaft, use the correct seal, which is a Simmerring, basically a very small oil seal.
You need to make sure the seals are well lubricated- use a decent silicone grease.
