    Wtc - water condensation

Converted "Dumas Bluefish submarine"with WTC after failing to keep designed Hatch compartment dry.The WTC when tested does not leak/using Subtech seals for push rods and motors/end caps have o'ring for press on fit plus o'ring for screw pressure seal fit by tightening caps(against 3" dia.lexan cylinder machined square ends) using threaded rods with counter sunk o'ring. After running sub condensation forms inside/the sub is only being submerged 6" inches below sail/is the condensation being caused by water entering thru the push rod seals...need help .....

    Try putting heavy vacuum grease

Try putting heavy vacuum grease on all your O-Rings, works pretty good for me. Put it on the actual oring and the pushrod itself.

From what I heard the O-rings are supposed to seal better as the pressure increases, though I don't really trust them.

      If you're in a warm,

If you're in a warm, humid area, you could also be getting condensation simply from air condensing on the cool walls of your WTC. My own 3.5" WTC gets a little bit of condensation inside after a run with the motor putting out a bit of heat and the cool water on the WTC walls pulling the water out of the air.

Once everything returns to normal temperature, all is well.

            Can you post pictures of

Can you post pictures of the WTC in the Bluefish? I'm finishing one up. I'm going to try the stock hatch cover. We'll see how that works.

              will try to send WTC

[color=#000000]will try to send WTC picture installed in my "Bluefish" also a fellow modeler gave me his "Bluefish" after completing the hull /disgusted with Dumas Kit this has allowed me to improve the WTC from a 3"inch diameter housing everything to using 2"inch diameter WTC using three WTC cylinders/one for each motor and one WTC behind motors housing(the smaller cylinder required smaller receiver and ESC,Engel depth, fuse, water proof on/off switch/7.2 battery is housed wet behind WTC/this allowed me to drop all three WTC through the original open hull covered by deck/sail and eliminated cutting the hull which was required due to the much larger WTC/SubTech seals were used on 0'ring caps ]
