I just received back my renewal, it has been returned to sender for "Attempted - Not known"...

We know now why Jim didnt find it in his data base.

You have probably already figured this out already, but for our other overseas sub pals, the formatting for US addresses are a bit different than other parts of the world. The SC membership directory has them shown correctly - like so:

line #1 First Name Last Name
(and add his title if you wish, but not necessary)
line #2 Street address or Post Office Box
line #3 City name, State Name (use abbreviation if you know the official US govt abbreviation for the state)
line #3 continued Zip code
line #4 USA

Usually some variation of this will work but you have to have the name/street or PO Box/city/state/zip code or your "towed array is pretty much fouled on your screw."

Jim Butt's mailing address should look something like this:

Mr. Jim Butt
SC Membership Chairman
PO Box 213
SHREWSBURY, PA 17361-0213
USA
