just got my copy of silent hunter 3, its in my grimmy little hands as I type. Getting ready to plug it in! Sorry, but you guys will have to wait for an update, I will be busy the next 20+ hrs.... sinking enemy ships.. buy the way, some other guy behind me was also picking up his copy, I gave him a SC flyer, he looked impressed. hey guys, this game is every bit as good as it was advertised to be. The camera view is different, but easy to get the hang of. The options for the subs are almost the same as SH2 with a couple of more boats to command. There is a light in the captians room that swings with the roll of the boat that gets dark and light swinging behind a beam... The torpedo cam is auto, the deck gun even has a crew on it,,WoW,,,The sea looks great, better than I remember it form my Navy days, don't wait get a copy. See you all in July. Won't give too much away here, however U-505 lives again in its final battle. You have a chance to change the outcome. I tried once and failed. Just had to drop another teaser here.. Anybody consider building their own u-boat for RC to command but didn't have the spare change,, well this is just for you!!!!!! Gotta run and get back at it.. Hope all your favorite stores out there re-stock fast.

So will it work on Windows XP now? I got a copy a few years ago but it wouldn't work with Windows XP.

Not to change the topic, but I noticed Jeff mentioned Subcommittee flyers. Where can I get my hands on some of these flyers? I sure could use them!

In 2005, silent hunter the third is a uboot sim

I don't go to movie stores very often, well, I guess this maybe a new reason for why to go! Really good graphics, even got the emblem detailed! Say, are all the type VIIs in the game VIIBs? Antoine, got any more screenshots showing other U-boat types?

Playing on line would be great, I had seen that option but don't really know how it works. The type II has been corrected in this version, only a single rudder like the real one, SH2 had 2 rudders on their type II shame, shame, also the dive planes move up and down as the boat needs them to be,,, very very cool..... SH3 runs great with windows XP thats what I have. Some of the control buttons seem slow, but nothing really to worry about. This is the coolest game I have seen..... egads, I am turning into a geek! If I would stay away form the PC and palystation, I would of had my next project done 6 months ago. See you guys in July Jeff Jones SC#258

as stated in the other thread on this game, go to subsim.com and join the wolfpack league... im in flotilla 10, member #311 "wingtip"...........
i just cant get over the graphics...watching the ships get blown to bits and watching the pieces fall to the bottom and thud when they hit with a ploom of mud from impact is just too too cool..........
