Dear all,
I'm currently part of the way through building a model of the Swedish Sjoormen class and have come across a feature on the boat that I'm not sure about, maybe someone can shed some light.
There are some dry dock photo's of the boat on the Kockums website. Down the length of the hull just below the casing is a rather boxy rectangular looking bulged section that runs most of her hull length.
1. Is this a towed sonar Array housing? and
2. Was this fitting only introduced as a refit for the Singaporean navy?
Regards,
David H
(I haven't seen any dry dock photo's of Sjoormen before her sale to the Singaporean navy.)
