One you built or one you have seen, what was it? My all time favorite was Mike Dory's type IX in 1/32nd scale. Gave me the ambition to build one myself, thanks Mike for showing up at the show that day and having it taped!!!!! #2 on my list is the all time great Balao by Gene Burger..... how cool are these.... Jeff Jones
Too old to Rock- n- Roll, too young to die ! Subs are just my speed......
I would say two subs as a child I remember that held me close to submarines and scuba, 20,000 Leagues under the Sea
Nautilus and David Bunnel's "Turtle". I use to build "TUrtles" using cups and making it look the part and play with it in the tub at nights.. heheh crazy kid with imgination.
my favorite sub as a teen was about 25-30 innches long I think called the Ethen Allen? wish I still had that sub!
but my favorite now would be the trumptered Seawolf and the Revel of Germany VII uboat...
All time favorite
Revell U99...I have build 4 since I was 10 years old...and I'm 38 now.
Gotta be the Shark Nautilus I built a year ago, I based my plans on a drawing I saw in one edition of JV's story. Still waiting for it to go to sea! The Trumpeter Kilo and the U-52 are my faves too.
I'd have to say my favorite is probably Gene Burger's Balao, even though I have never actually seen it in person. However I don't think I'd want one myself; too much work to get in and out of the water, storing it, and transporting it. Watching it is good enough for me.
And then of course I love my own boat, the 1/72 Gato.
this is a hard subject to choose from
everyone likes the disney nautilus, and the Seaview. but If I had to nail it down to one I would say the Seaquest from seaquest dsrv
