mesage from Bob at OTW - "caveat emptor"

Bob Dimmack just left me a voice mail, and asked me to post this message. If you are looking on eBay, and see an OTW submarine for sale that looks too good to be true, it is!

He's concerned about fraud, as apparently there's a 3 day sale going on right now for one of his Type VIIs, and the price looks too good to be true for the model and the ballast system. Additionally, the ballast system is advertising components that he doesn't use in his systems.

Please- if you are interested in one of Bob's models, new or even re-sold, talk to him, or be sure that you know from whom you are making the purchase, and that the item you are bidding on is what is advertised.

    cheers,
    Sam

      we see this alot in

we see this alot in the model helicopter area of the rc hobby and we're constantly finding scams on ebay... If you really wanna find out if its the real deal just email the seller for some specific detailed questions, even if you know the answer already, if he cant provide the answer or a photo showing the area in question its a good bet he in fact doesnt have it and a possible fraud..
ebay is nothing like it used to be.. now they are just a money hungry whore that doesnt care much bout the scamming.... i hate using them unless i just have to....
