    D&E miniatures DVD intro video

Made this for David for his DVD series. Thought you guys might enjoy it.

It's all 3D using Lightwave and Digital fusion. I work in visual effects for a living so I have all the goodies.

    Enjoy,

looks like fun, and if it's like David's other videos, should be informative too. Put me down for a set...

                        Thanks guys. I want more

Thanks guys. I want more too. It's just such as tease. When I get a little spare time here I will just for fun do a longer sub battle short movie.

Got to build some better wire frames of subs. The LA boat and torpedo's were just quickies and to get any close to the sub I'd need lots more detail.

I start cutting David's first DVD on the camera system next week with the DVD soon to follow. But it's really David's call. I'll keep you posted right here.

Thanks again for the kind words guys. You just got to love subs!

                            Just curious, why did you

Just curious, why did you give the LA vertical tail fins? IIRC, that used to one of David's big complaints about the old DML kits-no tail fins on an LA!

                            Video looks fabuluous!

                              Guys,

                              sorry I missed your replies.

                              Guys,

sorry I missed your replies. Tim. We stopped work on that because David needs to get his video flies converted for me first. It was a daunting task trying to convert that much footage here to something that I could edit easily. All he had at the time was VHS which meant capture, then converting. Takes forever.

I'm hoping when he does his next instruction video he will then use DV cam which I can fire wire direct into my systems and to the editor software.

For now he can use the intro on the header of any of his videos.

Tom you sure got me there and your so right. I just didn't know at the time and was a dummy.

Thanks for the kind words gentleman. It is much appreciated!

                              Steve

P.S. Here's something new on the way and a frame grab from the scene. This is going to be a CGI short trailer with scenes from Don Meadow's book, "Of Ice and Steel".

Tim I know you kenow this already but to those that do not you can see thread about this book in the book section of SC.

Also here's the link to the web site I made for Don]Of Ice and Steel web site[/url]
