HMAS Sheean - good latest photo of Collins class sail
HMAS Sheean - good latest photo of Collins class sail
Good photo of HMAS Sheean off Hawaii during 2002 RimPac exersize. Photo shows some of the appearance changes to these vessels. Look cool and more visual character, besides being good submarines.
Hi guy's
Not sure if you know this, but all the Collins class subs have been grounded as of late due to an acident on the HMAS Dechaineux off the coast of Garden Island, Western Australia . They where at 80m when a flexible hose burst and filled the pressure hull with water at a great rate. I was told by a friend in the NAVY that the boat just made it to the surface at full power due to the amount of water taken on board. If you go to Gary Gray's web site, you can see some good pictures I took of the same boat that almost went down.
Check it out at this address.Gary Grays Subs Click on real subs and Collins class Dechaineux.
