How many of you.... - WTC stuff..

I saw this topic in the RCGroups forum and thought it might be interesting to share here at the good old SubCommittee!

A few days back at RC Groups, a gentleman asked if it is wise to use one single removable WTC in different subs? To save on money and time.. A few people replied there so I thought this might be interesting to see how many of you use this method right here! I am seriously considering this method for those plastic kits on the market, Revell VII, Trumpeter Seawolf, Kilo, Verlinden Seehund, etc. So many kits!! So much choice!

    G'day,

    I can't see how this

    G'day,

I can't see how this technique cannot be advantageous. I have four submarines at the moment I run all four of them on a regular basis. i actually cycle throught them , eeny meeny minee mo....

If I did'nt use a removable WTC I simply would not be able to afford to do this. I can't affort an entire set up for each boat. I design all my boats around the dimensions of my one precious WTC, simply drop it into the hull- of- the -moment hook up the power, clamp the rear controls surfaces , put the top and off I go on patrol!

The only downside is that of retrimming and minor adjustments per boat. A small price to pay. It also keeps maintainance and checks to one hull. As it is you can only really practivcally run one boat at atime anyway!!

    Hope this helps,

    Regards,
