What is the average length of a German WWII Torp?

    Hi all,

A next project of mine will be a scale model of a Type VIIB U-boat, since I would like to test out various torpedo firing mechanism on this boat, I'd like to know the average length of the torpedoes used on the Type VII U-boats, if any of you guys happen to install working torps on your subs, maybe you can help me?

    Thanks!

    Both the G7a (steam) and

Both the G7a (steam) and G7e (electric) torpedoes were 54cm in diameter and 7.16m in length.

The late war variants (FAT, LuT, T-series) were all apparently packed into the same size torpedo.
