    I checked that out, that

I checked that out, that would be awesome if somebody wanted to pre-program their sub or ship to follow a course.

Hmmm makes your wonder on having a small scale war

      I've looked at GPS to

I've looked at GPS to hook up to a datalogger (blackbox) in my sub but was told by the manufacturer that GOS signals penetrate water about 1 cm so you'll have to keep an antenna above water.

Might be nice as an addidtion to a failsafe. Log the coordinate where the boat was switched on and in case transmitter signal fails have the boat return to that point.

Always nice to see these kind of devices.

        when you go to maybe

when you go to maybe toys stores, or Walmart, you can find those cars that are not RC but programmable, you press some buttons to program its course and press another button to start it, maybe you can hook something like this to a sub and simply "override" the system to switch it to RC. Most of these cars are controlled by InfraRed, does IR penetrate water?

          I don't think IR goes

I don't think IR goes very far at all, water is a defuser of light
but then again it might carry deeper than I'm thinking..
