    UK vendors? - Eden/Sheerline/Darnell/Metcalf?

    Hi,

does anyone have any current information on R/C sub vendors in the UK? I'm thinking about for example Eden and Sherline, are they the same kits by the way, yes I believe so?

Then there's Darnell and Metcalf Mouldings, they are also the same right? But are these kits also the same as Eden/Sheerline?

Does anybody know if there are current on-line catalogues for example?

    Thank's

    Bjorn

PS. The reason I'm looking is because I'm trying to help a couple of swedish guys to find information on availiable type VII R/C kits.

Sheerline took over the Eden range. They don't have a website, which I find surprising in this day and age.

I think some improvements have recently been made to the Sheerline Type VII, which includes a remodelled conning tower.

Metcalf mouldings bought out the Darnell range, when John Darnell retired a few years ago. The kits retain the same hulls and internal watertight box, but no longer come with any other hardware.

This is not such a big deal, as the hardware supplied with these kits, was very crude and most of it required replacing or reworking.

The hulls are fine however, just not as accurate or detailed as OTW (a lot less expensive mind).
