    Generating new members

I had an idea just recently and also thought that it was probably tried before but here it is just in case. While reading the SCR I see in the Membership Chairmans column how the membership numbers rise and fall, and we as members should do our part to help bolster these numbers. Here is my idea, why not make up some type of recruiting poster. Maybe something like the WWII Navy posters but with Sub committee info on it. It would only have to be 8.5 X 11, And could be posted on company bulletin boards (with their permission of course). Those that wanted to could just print out as many posters as they needed if the posters were stored some where on the web site. Now this is just a fishing trip, If response to this is good then the details of who, what, where and when can follow later, so for now lets just see what you the members think of this idea.
    Thanks

hey Boss, sounds like a good idea. How about just a photo of your model and your name and phone# and ask if anyother employee's might be interested in getting together on a weekend and running a model sub. I also have photos of my subs on my tool box. I get alot of questions, or used to at first. But not many takers. Actually only one guy brought his 2 sons out to a local show.... Jeff

I have some of my static models on display above my desk and a small copy of this years regatta poster on the wall, That usually gets a few questions. I also leave a copy of the SCR on my desk.
As far as graphics for the posters, I too would help out but keep in mind that I'm no graphic artist, just a lowly mechanic.
Thanks for your interest in this topic.
