    Stern planes installation

    [color=#000000]Hi everyone,

    I'm building a 1/96 ThorDesign Uss Permit and, after having glued the four control surfaces bearings, I now have to permanently affix the stern planes appendages.
    Now here's the question]

    When I built my Permit

    When I built my Permit I didn't paint the appendages until after the build-up was complete. Everything worked out fine.
    Warm regards,

        Hi everyone,

        since I'm going to scratchbuild my own WTC for my ThorDesign 1/96 Permit, I'd like to know if a 3.14" (80 mm) Outside Diameter cylinder would fit in the boat without creating problems to the boat's trim (ballast tank above the waterline)...my calculations say yes, but I think that the saddles should be cut in order to allow this.
        Ok, I know the best size is 3.00" (76 mm) but I feel that every gained millimeter is a little more room to work with.
        I have no problems using both diameters, but I'd like an advice here!
        Thanks in advance!
