Yes- the Akula on SubTech's
Yes- the Akula on SubTech's site is a kit made by Dumas, with SubTech "goodies" like motor, speed controller, pitch keeper, battery eliminator, better seals etc. added as these aren't in the original box but are either essential or very useful in getting the sub running. This is where I bought mine from as I wanted everything I needed supplied, preferrably from the one place, to make it easy for my with my first sub.

First...let me welcome you to
First...let me welcome you to the hobby of r/c submarines! I hope that you will find this a very enjoyable hobby....a lot of definitely do!
I would suggest contacting SubTech's U.S. distributor, Mike's SubWorks. Mike is a long-time member of the SubCommittee and experienced builder of r/c subs. He not only carries the SubTech product line, but also has an extensive line of parts for building r/c subs. Mike can be contacted at]mikes-sub-works@worldnet.att.net
-hope this helps!

Hey i was visiting the
Hey i was visiting the dumas site and i saw the akula kit there and the bluefish package there with everything in it i need. I was wondering which would be better to get the akula kit and have to buy everything else or get the bluefish with everything in it and then build it. The big thing is money and also can the akula go deeper than 4 feet deep because thats how deep the blue fish goes.

I've had my Akula down
I've had my Akula down to 6 feet for extended periods on a couple of occasions. It could easily have gone deeper except the pools I was sailing in were only that depth! However, I wouldn't push it past 10' as the WTC would probably breach as it's a relatively simple (though effective) design.
Note that the Marlin is a static diver (ie. pump ballast) whereas the Akula is a dynamic (planes) diver. The advantage of static divers is they don't have to be moving to dive & ascend like the dynamic divers do; however, this usually makes them more expensive and also more complex to build.
You can get both kits with everything you need included from SubTech/Mike's SubWorks which should make things easy no matter which one you choose.
IMHO the Akula looks way cooler though

ok now i'm asking which one should i get for the akula. The kit the basic package or the delux package. I want to know which will be cheaper and easier to get it running in the water. With the kit that cheaper but will it be more expencive if i have to buy all the other stuff and will that make it more complicated.

What kit you buy depends
What kit you buy depends on what you already have! If you have nothing, you'll need the Deluxe kit. This is what all the bits do]http://www.subcommittee.com/forum/icon_smile.gif[/img]
I would however still consider a nicer brass prop from Raboesch rather than the 2-bladed plastic speedboat prop which comes with the kit. This is the only extra thing not included in the deluxe package, though the sub will still run fine with the original prop.
I've just now come back from sailing my Akula and a friend took some great waterline shots of it - I'll pop them on my homepage when I get them in a couple of days.
