    Russian oscar class - wanted:

Hi gang, I am looking for an Oscar class submarine suitable for R/C. I would be willing to consider a new kit, partially completed, hull kit. Anyone who has one to sell or knows where I can find one - please let me know. Thanks!

      I seem to remember Matt

I seem to remember Matt Thor had the Rocky Mountain mold for a Oscar in 1/96 he wanted to get rid of.

        I've also been looking around

I've also been looking around for an Oscar II and have only managed to find two 1/350 plastic model kits Might be hard to make a 1" WTC ...

Both the Oriol (Orel, K-266) and Kursk (duh) are Oscar II class as shown here .

          I have donated the entire

I have donated the entire Oscar Class patterns, molds, ect. to Lee Upshaw of the Scale Shipyard. I have too many boats to produce and not enough time to do them all. He will do a very fine job producing the kit I am sure. Please contact Lee for me details.

I should have all to Lee by the end of September.

Speaking of Russian Thor kits, I hope the 1/72 Akula doesn't fall by the wayside, in fact I'd like to see it bumped to the front of the TO-DO list! Nothing against existing Akula kits, but I think such an important, interesting and mysterious boat as the Akula deserves a Thor treatment.

              Steve,

              Thanks for the confidence. No,

              Steve,

Thanks for the confidence. No, it has not dropped off of the list. It is still in there, but production of any new products have all been slowed way down.
