    Sean,

    Welcome aboard. I noticed from

    Sean,

Welcome aboard. I noticed from your profile that you are located in New Jersey. If you are free this Sunday there is a fun run scheduled by the South Orange Seaport group in
South Orange (check their web site for directions) and besides myself there will probably be a couple more subs in the water. Also make sure you hook up with the folks at the Sub Com East group which meets ever month. If you decide
to get into subs you will find these folks to be a great help
    in getting you started.

Seeing as you seem to like Submersible craft you may want to have a look at this, which is probably the cheapest and best value kit on the market-

I've seen plenty of these working, and they perform very well indeed.

                Hi,

                According to xe.com

                £74= $133.719US

                at the present exchange rate.

I wouldn't say the Deep dive VI is any better than the Robbe Seawolf. Wouldn't say it's any worse either.

They're different kinds of boat. The Deep dive hasn't got a cylindrical pressure hull, whereas the Robbe has. This means the Robbe is a better boat if you want to dive to the deep end.

The deep dive is a small submersible craft, which will be easier to transport and manoeuver in a small pool.

If you want a small model, that dives deep, buy a Delphin!

                Pays your money..............

The Seawolf isn't a difficult model to construct, but may intimidate someone with no previous modelling experience. If you have built a boat a two, and have some knowledge of working with plastics then it shouldn't present too many problems.

The deep dive is probably as easy as it gets- doesn't even need paint!

Skip Asay's boats are also good, and you will get very good after sales support, which will likely be lacking from the other manufacturers.

His boats are probably a little outside your budget however, as these are static divers.

However you do have the Sub Committee, and no problems are insurmountable.
