      Yep! ... what kind'a sub is it? I can see the letters "FWD" indicating direction on the hull, so it must be from an english speaking country, and due to the size my guess is American.. but it's oval i shape...? Ain't US subs normally close to completely round? This lookes as it could be moreThyphoon'ish, though it is not...

        the hull seems oval because of the pic itself....look at the guy near the bow, I am sure he would cry when he sees the pic
        I think it is the Texas (no guessing, I only read the link) a Virginia class sub.

        I may be wrong.

          That is one of the

          That is one of the construction photos of the USS Texas taken at the Newport News shipyard. It's one of several posted on the NNS web site.

          Looking at some of the details around the edge of the photo, it would appear that the photographer used some sort of wide angle lens in order to get everything into the picture. This creates the distortion that is making the hull look out-of-round.
