    Reggatta 04 Rhode Island

    Good day/ evening all.
I just got home tonight from R.I. I stayed the night and headed out this morning as it is a bit of a long haul 10 hours + for me
I had a great time ! I saw alot of old friends and missed seeing the ones who could not make it , I met some new ( too me anyway) folks , saw some great work , sailed 2 subs , went for a swim, drank lots of beer in general had a blast !!!
I want too thank the boys of sub ron 4 for all the leg work, blood sweet and tears without which this event would not have happened.
Also a big round of appalase too the vendors , Skip, Al and Mary Jane , Mike and Alise( I hope I spelled it correctly , if not I am sorry!!!)Bob from otw , Ray ,as well as all who contributed too the raffel table . With out these people it would have been just a day at the park .
I look forward too the next venue and an adventure in another fine state !

    Definite thanks to everyone who

Definite thanks to everyone who helped organize this. Had a blast even though my SEAWOLF only ran on the surface.

Question to the webmasters; is there anyway to batch post pics, or is it only one at a time? My better half managed to snap about 150+ pics in between keeping the little ones in tow. Even after I weed out the family shots, there are still quite a few to post.

      Rick,
      Nice to see you back

      Rick,
Nice to see you back again! You weren't the only one to have a swim this year, though.

        Crazy Ivan,
        We would be crazy

        Crazy Ivan,
We would be crazy if we left our subs at the bottom. We were just demonstratng a very practical failsafe system; one that works after all the high tech gadgets fail.

          ugh!!! What a picture!! Time

ugh!!! What a picture!! Time for the 'ol diet and exercise again...

The problem with the sub was a depleted battery. I pulled the battery off of the charger too soon because Frank was putting his 'target' in the water and I wanted to get some periscope video of it. Then the group 'Hug' got in the way and I didn't turn off the sub during that photo op. Had a great time once again. Thanks to all who planned and participated in throwing the Regatta. Only 12 hours later and I was home...hey, how about a regatta in Los Angeles...........

              I too have been meaning

I too have been meaning to post. I had a great time in RI. It was nice to see some old friends and meet some new people. I must say that the quality of the subs this year, was outstanding.... There were many great running subs. With the exception of the weather not entirely co-operating I would say that all who attended enjoyed the event. A big thanks goes out to all the guys who worked hard and long to put it together.
