    Realy Big Model Submarine

I have once seen a Realy big RC model submarine that looked like a german type. The owner was bringing it on a trailer. I foun the pictures on the net, but I can not find the pictures again.

Can you help me with a link or pictures of this sub, since I can not find them anywhere.

    Hi Kim -

I don't know who the owner is, but I'm pretty sure you're thinking about the fleet class boat seen at the Groton SubRegatta '97

    Here's a picture from our gallery]http://www.subcommittee.com/forum/ET_3.jpg[/img]

My friends who went to Köln '02 saw it with their own eyes and still cant believe them ......

the guy who built that monster was planning to really dive with it in a river. Maybe he was fed up with life......

Anyway this thing is built to be operationnal yes... :O

            Cheers.

There was a gentlemen in Novascotia Canada that built a 17-19 foot long R/C Type VII. All metal construction weighing in at a few tons. I'm unsure of the exact details, but if memory serves, those numbers are close.

Unfortunatly, he recently passed away, but the boat is now residing in the Maritime Museum.
