Ok, so how many people are upset about registering

Personally, I think the new Board is fantastic! But, some members expressed consern about having to register or type a password.

So, any coments so far? Good, Bad, Indifferent

I don't mind the registration process, we gain a lot of advantages, like private messages, pictures, url, etc....
Doesn't matter if we have to wait 10 mins to register, this forum is much better

I think that this is great! I have been a proponent of this type of registration for a long, long time. It's great to see that the SC leadership is responsive to the members requests. Registration was simple and painless. Everyone is welcome, but you have to stand behind your own words. What more can you ask?

it seems pretty user friendly once you get registered. i hope to figure out the photo features and the i.d picture some time soon. i havent yet. but i havent spent too much time here either.
they say a picture is worth a thousand words--that is SO true.
the price of digital cameras is so much less then it used to be-i hope the pictures make this change a good one for all of us.
the old site was very limited on visual communication.
Everyone is more charged up when they understand how things are done and can share the fun.

I think the registration requirement will eventually improve the quality of the board for all.

Why be concerned with a password being an inconvenience since you can elect to have it remembered for you so you do not have to type it in every time.

After filling out the registration form, the time it takes to get into the system is pretty instantaneous. However the time it take you to get your 'welcome mail' is dependant on internet mail traffic, mail traffic through your ISP, etc. so it could take several minutes.

If anyone is having problems, please send me mail and let me know! If I don't hear about it, I can't fix it

I really like the new

I really like the new format. The only thing I noticed is that it's not obvious how you move from "registered user" to "subcommittee member". For those who didn't tumble quickly, check out a seperate posting by Jeff.
