A big thank you to Jim Butt - 1st sub ready for Groton!

Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_6176.jpg Views:	0 Size:	1.15 MB ID:	151878At Subex24 I met Jim Butt and saw my first RC submarines. I have become totally bonkers about subs and fallen way down the rabbit hole. I just finished my Engle 212A and she is ready for Groton this coming weekend for Subex25! This has been the most exciting and gratifying model I’ve ever built.
My real reason for posting this is to give a huge thanks to Jim Butt. There’s so much to learn about RC subs that I could not have finished the 212A without Jim’s unwavering patience and help and vast knowledge. I first saw Jim‘s 212A last year and decided that would definitely be my first sub. Little did I know how much there was to learn and how different subs are from any other RC activity I have tried. Jim has patiently been on zoom with me when I got stuck and helped me work through any issues. Jim‘s help reflects the essence of what the modeling community should be all about. Jim, my friend, thank you so much!

Jim has/is always been very generous with help and knowledge. He is of the best.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.
