    Help with old Albacore

Not sure I am in the right section, but, I am looking for some help with an old Albacore.

I am currently resurrecting my old boat and re-built the WTC to the Marlin model to get a larger ballast tank. I am having a problem with the flood/ blow. I believe that the “T” valve in the ballast tank is not working properly. I can get it to blow ballast, and submerge, but it will not pump out the water in the ballast tank, even though it is spinning- no water is coming out. I did get it to work a few times tonight, but it is not consistent. The electric pump motor is functioning properly. Is there a replacement/ rebuild for the valve? It was brand new from Skip ( May he rest in peace ).

    Thanks for any advice

Looks like I may have found it. Brass tubing coming up through the bottom of the WTC, into the Tee valve, may have been too long and dislodged the "O" ring and small white ball inside the Tee valve. I cut the top off the ballast tank, and completely dis-assembled the valve. I could see that the small white ball was not sitting perfectly on the "o" ring. The rings were removed and cleaned. The whole thing was put back together and the glue is drying for the day. I will circle back to see if that cured it.

Success! Trial run today in the pool was successful. Pool too small to run the sub, but ballast seems to be working properly. Hopefully headed to Groton on the 21st
