    32P OHIO Class sub, Im I the only one - 32P OHIO Class sub, Im I the only one

    Im looking for pictures of other 32P OHIO Class submarines.

    Im interrested in knowing how the original WTC looked like, and if anyone has made customisations to the hull etc.

    This way I dont have to find out the hard way later at the bottom of the lake.

    or just others design on their OHIO class sub.

                  Very nice boat you have. Almost as much stuff as the real thing too. I may have missed it but will it fire missles? Can't wait for the next series of beauty shots.

                    Yes it will be able to fire missiles, but at the moment its not the top priority.

                    At first im only going to let it dive/sail correctly.

                    Thanks

                      Hi Kim, I noticed (sharp eyes) you have three WTCs in your OHIO. I am just curious to know in which compartment you have the speed control. Trying to figure out where the best place to put them is. With the receiver or with the motors themselves? Reason I ask is that my Guppy will also have 3 WTCs. Forward will be the bow plane works, the center will be the ballast and receiver and the stern one will house my motors. I just don't know where the best place is for the speed controls. Does this depend on location of the receiver?? and the other electronics? such as pitch control etc. Thanx for any advise. c.j.g.

                        [color=#000000]Hi carlosjose,

                        I suggest you go to my web page (www.fmx.dk), and enter the remote controlled submarine section.

                        The front will contain 2 servos (tower rudder + missiles), and a receiver - Together with a pump+valve and controller to control all of these things.

                        The Rear section will contain 2 servos (Rear rudders), Receiver and Drive motor + motorcontroller.

                        The middle section is only the ballast section, and will be pumped with water from the front section.

                        Any questions - Just ask (-]

                              Kim -- Will Oudmayer, has a great running 1/32P Ohio boat for sale, you can find his address and phone number in the Sub Committee directory under Calif. listing. Will's Ohio has a bow thruster that is tied to the rudder control. which makes for a very sweat turning boat. As I recall this was hidden to be in a sonor panal. The rest of the boat was built very much as designed by Simon, except it's been realined and cleaned up to match up better. On the outside it's been detailed with scale weld lines. I've been building model sub's for some 35 years and have never seen any boat run better. Best Wishes, Mike Dory
