So I am fascinated by the diesel boat modifications for ASW and for Sonar testing after WWII. I'm always trying to scrounge for new and interesting info/pictures of/about TIGRONE, BAYA and others. So, found these today for BAYA...new to me at least...
I recall Tigrone as one of the ugliest beasts ever to haunt the Subase's lower numbered piers! I also recall Nautilus and her short stint with a "Bed spring" array aft of the sail. She wasn't quiet before that, so I can imagine a new level of acoustic nastiness while hauling that thing around!!!
