I went to the Cleveland Model Show today and a model of S-44 was one of the submarines entered. The model is scratch built, mostly from styrene. The S-44 won First Place in the submarines category.

wow, that is an incredible model.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub. -

Years ago, there was an event at Mystic Seaport Museum's Art Gallery where master modeler Alan Raven had an S-44 on display. This one has Alan's beat!!!
