Resources for the Soviet K-3, the first November? - Yup, more begging for info

Going down my list of dream models for the future and seeing which ones I can get enough information for first. The Soviet Katyusha fleet boat (info coming), the Stalinets class (if the flippin' book ever gets here from Armybook.com), and the K-3 are my most wanted. Suprisingly, I've been able to find very little on the first Soviet nuke, even from Russian sources. Can anybody point me in the right direction? I've got a couple of very rough side profiles from some Russian books and somewhere I have a very old copy of the Sharks of Steel (I think) episode that covered her. Beyond that, just a little bit of stuff from the net.

[color=#000000]I think that ArmyBooks and the web are the best options. There must be some navy museums in Russia that have accurate models of the November class submarine and they may be willing to send you some pictures if you send them a letter. I am going to try this for my research on the Victor Class submarine. I have yet to find the addressees of some museums.

I don’t know why the November submarine has been forgotten by modelers. Maybe is its shape]

Yeah, I'm trying that route as well. A few years ago I had a lot of success with an unrelated subject via the Central Naval Museum. Had quite a lengthy correspondence going by e-mail. Then my contact retired and now I can't get an answer either by e- or snail-mail.

You'd think that the K-3, being the counterpart to the Nautilus, would be worth more. I've got three different Russian-specialty groups, (Armybook, Icaruspress, and another) looking but no luck yet. If my wife ever leaves me, I'm getting a Russian bride just to have someone to translate for me in the Russian bookstores!

      I'm not 100% sure that I'm kidding. . .

I'll shoot you all my e-mail direct, once I get Outlook working again. For now, it's nitflegal@chartermi.net

Fortunately, with the exception of her not speaking Russian, I have no complaints. Heck, she brings home reference books and kits that she stumbles over that she thinks I might be interested in. I feel like an addict who married his supplier!

              Thanks to all! Several people

Thanks to all! Several people sent me information and it is appreciated. My e-mail is still acting wonky so I haven't been able to look at them much nor send replies. Once it's straightened out I'll make the thanks individual.

              Thanks again,
