sealed lead acid batteries - help on choosing the right battery

I was hoping somone could help me choose the right battery for my sub. I want to put a sealed lead acid battery in a Dumas Akula with a Mark 2 pressure hull. Iwould like to know if a battery will fit or if i should get a different wtc so it will. I need to now how what type, how strong, and how many amp hors i will need using a 380 motor.Thank You

Hello -- It is never

Hello -- It is never a good idea to put a lead acid battery into any sealed compartment. You might look at either Neckel-Cadmium or some of the newer and in my opinion better, Neckel metal hydrate type of batteries. Those two batteries do not give off hydrogen gas like the lead acid types do and are there for, much safer. Best Wishes Mike

If you are going to put them in a sealed compartment, get the ni cads that are used in RC cars and run them in parallel if you can fit two in the pressure hull.
