Ottoman Navy steam powered Nordenfelt type submarine Abdül Hamid. In the early 1888 she became the first submarine in the world to fire a live torpedo underwater.

Very good that you have picked up on the works of George Garrett and thanks for the great photos.

The thread also shows an earlier very neat and small r/c model which was on the web.

My experience showed that the "Turkish" is quite a good performer. (The model version does not have the problems of steam power and "sloshing" tanks that Garrett had!)
