    Lipo battery question

I don’t run my Lipo batteries down to zero. But, should I discharge them anyway before I charge them?

    Thanks,

Do what the fly boys do.

If you have room in your sub, try good old nickel metal hydride. That just me keeping the landlord happy.

Our subs dont draw near the amps what rc aircraft Does!! Hence you dont get the problems of rapid discharge
sigpic. You have to ask yourself one question...would the admiral approve

Lipos don't have the memory of other batteries but discharging them down low hurts them. Just keep them at at storage charge level and charge the up before using. I consider anywhere from 25 to 50% storage level.
