    Scale Shipyard?

Hello all, it has been a while since I was active on this forum and in the hobby. You know, all the things life throws at you to keep you away from hobbies.

I am thinking of starting a new sub project and have been looking around the vendors section. Lots of changes recently...

Which brings me to a question. Does anyone know if Scale Shipyard is still in business? Their website has not been updated since 2015 and the mail address seems to be out of service.

    Hi Robert,

The Scale Shipyard (Lee Upshaw) is very much still in business. I see him actively posting over on the Warships Models Underway forum.

....what are you thinking of building?

Oh oh oh, I know I know, can I tell? Can I?

No I guess you should Robert.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

....hmmm.....since Tom knows and I know one of his favorite subs, can I take a guess?

Here's a hint (helps only if you are a Beatles fan):
        I am the egg man
        They are the egg men
        I am the .......

Not much of a guess, Jeff, even if you do not know the Beatles song.

Of course it's the Walrus I am after.

But thanks for your quick reply. Good to hear that Scale Shipyard is still in business. But how can I reach him as the mail address on his site is no longer valid?

Yes Lee is still in business.

            His email address is: scalshpyrd@aol.com

His email works, but the link to his email address is broke. Lee can't seem to get in to the message board as well.
Also Lee also said he has a Dutch Walrus class SSK hull set in stock. Lee says that his web sight is out of date at this time, but is being worked on.

....Lee is in the process of (re-)registering a forum account. He should be along shortly.

Also, you can try scaleshipyard@gmail.com to reach him.

                Hi:

It has been a long time since i have posted in the Subcommittee forums. It appears that the e-mail links in my web page and broke. This will get added to the first priority on the rework of the site..

I can be reached at either scalshpyrd@aol.com and this is being slowly being changed over to scaleshipyard@gmail.com.

Thanks for all your replies guys! You have been a great help.

Lee, I sent you an e-mail to your gmail address as the one to the aol one bounced.

Google search for The Model Submarine Company did not come up with the goods. What's the URL?

                      Thanks Sam

Robert. I actually received your second e-mail on the aol address and I responded...didn't know it was you and i was compelled to spam file it, It is a good idea to identify yourself and add a short note about what your looking for. There are way too many scams out in electron land.

                        Lee,
of course I always identify myself as a rule but as my first mail bounced I just sent the second test mail without any further info.

Anyway, comms have been restored so we will take this further from there.

Guys, once again thanks for all your help.
