    Bob is back!

    Good morning, everyone!

I just wanted to let you know that I'm back and in the comfort of my own home after around 10 days in Houston for surgery. As some of you know, I was recently diagnosed with cancer in my appendix. That offending organ was removed in early January, but there was residual cancer spreading to my colon and small bowels. Surgery last week removed 10cm of small bowel and my entire ascending colon, along with a chunk of liver and the abdominal lining on my right side.*

The good news is that pathology reported yesterday that there is no cancer present at the margins of the removed bits and pieces, and my lymph nodes were clear as well. They're 98% sure they got it all. From here, it's recovery from surgery and follow up testing in September.*

    [queue fanfare!]

I'm still not driving quite yet, or able to get back to work or the shop. That will likely be next week sometime. For those of you waiting on orders, thanks for your patience and understanding.*

Thanks to everyone who reached out to me and my family during this time. Your support meant a lot to all of us.*

Awesome news Bob! Sounds like it was worth the trip for the level of expertise and care you received.

Good news, may the rest of your recovery happen quickly and from now on be a cancer survivor!
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Very glad to hear the good news from a bad situation. You have always been a source of great inspiration in this hobby, as well as being the "go to" guy for parts. The good news couldn't be coming from a better or more deserving guy.
