    Passing of a SubComOn Member

We at SubComON are saddened to here of Steve Walker from London Ontario Canada has passed away. Steve was a chemist for the 3M company for many years, in his later years he moved over to sales and traveled across Canada. Steve had always modeled boats, he had modeled a number of sail boats and tugs. Steve then meet Doug Badgley where his interest grew into subs, with Dougs help built a plug and layed up his 1/96 scale Type 26. Steve was a great part of SubComOn. He was willing to do anything for us. Traveled with us to many different Regattas and fun runs in Ottawa and Carmel. His Type 26 donned the cover of the SCR magazine a few years back. Steve always had a great sense of humor, he had to in order to put up with us guys.Steve was in his 77th year, he will be missed. I am sure we all have stories of Steve and his antics.

    REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND

I am sorry to hear of a loss to our sub community. My condolences to the family and friends of Steve. Please let us know if SubCommittee can do anything to help.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.
