Desktop metal 3D printer

We can see it happening.....being able to print your own 3D metal pieces, like propellors or dog bone connector or....I will leave that up to your imagination. The machines to do this are getting smaller too! Now there is a desktop version (although your desktop better be large). I know some will decry the end of civilization or craftsman in our hobby, but I think it is just a new tool.

Impressive, though as you say still too expensive, but on the right track. For now I'm going to stick with my 'subtractive' printing with small lathe and mill.

3D printing is starting to get there for the hobbyist. I can see a laser cutter or sla printer in my future when I retire.
