    Al Matava

    All,

I read on another site that Al Matava passed away on 3 JUL 18, in his sleep. I always had good dealings with Al and thought he was a big booster of our hobby.

    Sailor, rest your oar.

Damn good guy. He was one of the very first to help and answer my questions when I was just starting out. Rest well, good Sir.

Al will be missed. Always a gentleman and a great supporter of the hobby of R/C submarines and the SubCommittee.

Al was absolutely one of the kindest, nicest people I've ever met. The world is a lesser place without him.

I bought a bunch of supplies from Al, and when doing the Advertising job, Al was always a supporter of the club when I called him. Condolences to his family. Rest well, Al.
