Professor Peabody and the Wayback machine.

Who remembers this? Just thought I'd resurface and see what's going on. I see a lot of familiar faces still out there.

    This may spark a recollection....G

Hello Mr. G Berger. Welcome to the re-surface. I do not remember it but have seen some
photos of it on other sites. Would like to see more.

hi Gene! please, make yourself at home, and don't be a stranger!
I remember hauling that boat out of Lake Trashmore with you at least a couple of times.

How did you make out at the IPMS show? I'm assuming "Best in Show"!

        Gene,
How is your PT boat coming along?
So glad to see you pop up! You are important to our hobby and community.
        Peace,
        Tom
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Welcome back, Gene! I remember that boat well. Do you still have that boat?
          Regards,

            Hi All,

I have been living under a rock for awhile. The sun feels great! Although not directly in touch with everyone, I have nonetheless been busy and still very much around. Just swimming in other circles.

To your question Sam...First in Cat. Best Maritime and Contestant's Choice. An embarrassment of riches...

For those of you who don't know me, perhaps by way of introduction you could go to my site. In addition to subs, there are some target build logs you might find interesting....or not?

Yes Matt, safely sitting on display at home. I haven't the nerve to get it wet again. I've moved on to greater (bigger) things in the past years, if you can believe that....G

                Hello Mr. Berger
I remember seeing your sub at Groton and you were always a kind and pleasant person to talk to you. You NEVER talked down to newbees like me and made time to answer questions of ALL kinds.
A positive person who with my memory will always remember, one of the founders of the R.C sub hobby.
Nice to hear from you again, here.

You need to check out Gene's web site where he details the building of the SS United States. Words cannot express how amazing a build it is. His site also has some of the history of his USS Balao.

You guys are giving me the vapors. My self imposed exile has come to an end. Still very busy building and active....just in other directions. I do appreciate the kind words.

Possibly for those not familiar with me, a gander at my site should stand as my introduction....Gene

                          Gene,
Is this one of your builds? I had kept this as an inspiration.
                          Peace,
                          Tom

Why...yes it is. I've yet to finish it, but it is in the que. I have one more on the table before I get to finish her.
