A little history on thses boats. Dave Metcalf purchased all the masters and moulds from John Darnell.
John Darnell is generally known as the 'father' of model submarines, here in the UK, as he was one of the first to make a working model submarine with a ballast system.
These models have been around for a long time and are generally well received and build into nice models.
I've seen enough examples to say this.
The Type VII is no match for the OTW/Hartshorn version, however there is a large disparity in price!
