The 2017 SubCommittee Elections are officially here for our 2018-and-beyond officers—the e-polls are now open and it's time to vote!
As covered in the brand new issue (#111) of the SCR (and as I will also post elsewhere on our forum as well), it's time to exercise your voting rights and elect your new e-board representatives in the President, Vice President/Secretary and Treasurer positions. Remember, these officers will hold office for a three-year term, beginning January 1, 2018.
Here's a quick reminder of the roles of the officers:
President: the Chairperson of the Executive Committee and the executive for the administration of The SubCommittee, subject to the direction of the Executive Committee.
Vice President: responsible for keeping the records of The SubCommittee, including the Policies and Procedures Manual (PPM). If necessary, the Vice President/Secretary may act as the President of The SubCommittee if the President is unable to perform said duty.
Treasurer: in charge and custody of all of the funds of The SubCommittee, as directed by the Executive Committee and the PPM. The Treasurer shall establish and follow good accounting and expenditure controls and shall make full disclosure of all financial dealings of/to The SubCommittee.
The following SubCommittee members have been nominated for office:

• Sam Reichart
Vice President
• Tom Chalfant
• Chad Divine
Treasurer
• Jim Butt
These candidates have responded to a series of questions posted on the SubCommittee forum. Their answers can help you to make your choices; please take a moment to check them out.
Election Ballot
The election is being held via electronic ballot. Members in good standing wishing to vote may do so by sending an email to:
votesubcommittee@gmail.com
Your ballot should include a single candidate choice for each of the three offices. Please include your forum username so that your membership status can be verified. Ballots received without a valid forum username will be discarded. (Valid ballots are those sent in by a member in good standing for the 2017 membership year, and which have been received on or before 6:00pm EST December 30, 2017.)
Remember, your participation in this process is essential to the health and longevity of The SubCommittee. Please participate without delay.
