Looking for S-class plans

Hi,

I have one of David's excellent SDs sitting on my desk that needs a hull. So I'm looking for plans and drawings of an U.S. S-Class boat (WW I aera). I've noticed that they were built in many different configurations. The one I'm most interested in is with the triangular transition of the deck into the cross-shaped tail:





What I found is a nice plan of a similar boat, but with diferent tail configuration:

I'm ware of the thread. But they don't mention their sources.......so not of help.

I've got the drawings that came with a Combat Models vacform for what they're worth.
Let me know if of any use. From memory they do show the spine you refer to.
I think they're a very good looking sub....on my to do list for one day.

I have an excellent set of plans I put together for the Holland S25 submarine. It is accurate and representative of the many boats in the class. However, each boat had its own small variations after launching. The plans set was put together after 5 years of reaearching and collecting everything available. There is no correct set of plans available out there as far as I was able to determine. There are two shipyard plan sets available, but they have been distorted terribly over the many decades of repeated copying. They are a good starting point, but require a ton of work to correct. We corrected them via CAD to produce a 1/48th scale model of the class.

Now that you mention it....I actually ordered the combat model for exact this reason ;-)

@Thor: I'm not a fanatic when it comes to accuracy, especially with WWI boats. I know that there aren't exact plans. So I'll look into the combat models kit to see what I can get from there.
