Mary wants an RC yellow submarine

Yep. She told me today she wants one. No kits anywhere I can fine and she wants to be only 2 foot long.

So it looks like I have to scratch build it. Any input would be welcome.

Andy is that the Moebius kit? That's just about right. Guys we have lots of subs. Big ones and small ones even a 66 inch Nautilus which is her favorite but she really wants the Beatles version Yellow Submarine. Thanks for your input as always gents! I even have a cylinder that should fit that model.

No that's scratchbuilt, with a GRP hull.

Moebius have never done a Yellow Submarine kit.

Monsters in Motion has this up for pre-order. When they made the film Yellow Submarine (1969) the animators used a 3D model to figure out the complex angles of the sub. It can be seen in the bonus feature on the DVD when they go behind the scenes. I tried building one from scratch the ILM way many years ago and studied the
