    Abandoned sub museum

If you are bored and sick of the crapola on cable check out this video I came across.
I am not proud to say I did watch the entire video. Mostly because the guy filming is totally clueless and patheticly funny.
It looks like at one time it was a nice place to visit.
    They even have a PBR.
I was kind of hoping the guy would trip and fall in the water.
So if you want to waste 19 minutes of your life listening to this guy that is three cans short of a six pack.
    Don't blame me.
It's sad to see a once proud vessel neglected like this. BD.

I had seen this posted somewhere else and chuckled at some of the comments he makes. I wish I was a rich man. The sub needs rescuing.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

I visited this sub, the USS Ling, years ago and it was "crewed" by WWII Subvets, and they would never have let this happen. Sadly most of those guys weare no longer involved for many reasons. It got bigger than it was when I saw it last.

There was an article about the Navy taking the artifacts back and restoring them, but I do not know about the sub. She was sitting in mud when I last saw her and getting it out would be a huge undertaking. She had the unenviable honor of being built by the Cramp shipyard in Philly, and was completed at wars end.

Priceless, BD! "It's like a 1 man thing... this is where the two men would sit..." Porthole in the mine. I really appreciated the Bugs Bunny reference.
        Warm regards,

They have a Seehund and a Kaiten - didn't know that. I tried compiling a list of midget subs etc at museums but so many simply aren't even listed on the relevant museum website or resources. Many museum curators don't seem o know or care about that type of exhibit.

Yes, but the Seehund has a rust hole in the bow and would never float.
But not quite as big as the huge hole cut in the side to look at the inside. Lol
Deffinatly Priceless! I forgot about the Bugs Bunny reference. OMG BD
