    Scratchbuilding submarines.. some thoughts

    Hi all

Over the past few years I have built two scratch-built subs, which some of you will be aware of. I have developed a ballast system which appears to be unique and control it with arduino. I have recently written a blog about this with a link to four videos that pick up obvious stuff that I have not addressed before all that well. I guess this is the definition of an obsession! For your interest and hopefully inspiration!

    John,
I enjoy the videos you have posted that are free. I am put off at the membership of $15 per month. Here at SC the membership is $15 or less for a year and knowledge is shared freely. So I am concerned that this post is more of an advertisement or marketing oriented.
Maybe I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and ask forgiveness if I am way out of line.
    Peace,
    Tom
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

        Mmm

My site does have membership but the focus broadly is on scratchbuilding. The four videos I have put up I am pretty proud of as they summarise a lot of work. They are in the public domain both on my web page and on my you tube channel. I do like to get subscribers.. but I give out a hell of a lot and I don't sell anything, or promote anything other than my ideas.

        Cheers John
