    Hi Steve -
    I am

    Hi Steve -
I am going to use this opportunity to urge everyone who has set up a SubCommittee members website (and have actually put photos on it! ) to update their members profile with the website's address so the little globe will appear below their posts. That will make it a little quicker for people to go to their sites.

    Here's how to do it:

    1) - go to your member home page. Then block in the URL address with your mouse (the whole address starting with http://etc.) Then hit the "Ctrl" button on your keyboard and the letter "C". That copies the address into your computer's temporary memory.

    2) Go to "Your Control Panel"

    3) Then click on "Personal Info"

    4) Then click on "Edit your profile" - find the blank that has the spot for your web address.

    5) Put your cursor in the box and hit the "Ctrl" and "V" keys and that will paste the address into that box. Click on update at the bottom and your little globe should appear each time you post on this board! Cool, eh?

I am also going to post this on the tips forum as well so it is easier for folks to find.
    Tim

      I have followed your instructions

I have followed your instructions and I have made it so. Acknowledge this has been done correctly.

Another question. Several SC members have never been able to gain access this web page. Even before January 2004 when the new features were added. Tom Anderson and Mike Dory are two of these whom cannot get in. Mike can only read posts sometimes but cannot submit a post to add to a SC message board here. Tom Anderson is unable to either post or even get access. Can anyone (web master?) please fix this problem?

        Steve,
        I saw your Trenchant on

        Steve,
I saw your Trenchant on your member's homepage. If you would like to raise and lower your "manual" masts by r/c, and have an extra channel available, you can do it with RCABS, and also have a failsafe ballast system. Put the masts on a platform, and place the bladder under the platform. Then inflate and deflate the bladder to raise and lower the scopes. Attach the bladder air pump to a failsafe switch, and it becomes a backup ballast system.

          Steve,

While I'm not sure what kind of problem(s) that Tom may be having, Mike's is that he seems to keep on forgetting his username/password. I think we've now created 3 or 4 accounts for him over the past year.

Why are they not contact our webmaster directly when a problem occurs? It is not possible to assist or troubleshoot a problem working through a third party. We have a really good track record of helping our users and members when they contact us!

              Hi Mark -
Send an email to Bob the webmaster and he will set it up. You just need to tell him what you want for a user name and password if I remember correctly.

Steve.....How often do you talk with Mike Dory....I looked and unless there are two Mike Dory's he was logged on to our system on March 27th 2004. Now Tom Anderson's last time on was Dec of 2003, but I would echo Jeff comment of why doesn't Tom send us an e-mail? If real problems aren't reported we can't fix them or address them.

                Thanks,

                  Thank you for checking into

Thank you for checking into this Jim and Jeff. Mike Dory can log in and read postings, but Dory is unable to post any messages here himself he says. Tom Anderson is unable to either enter this web page or post anything he claims. I have been trying to get folks around here to communicate with everyone else in this club. Tom is sore at Jeff which might have alot to do with this maybe. My comments about 'Northlake' posted earlier in sentiment was a very watered down version by me to be respectfull and polite compared to what others here on the left coast might be feeling. Tom and Mike amoung them. Fence mending time? Trying to smooth things out out here and get folks talking. I will not comment further publicly here. I think they just want to have a regatta decent enough to travel far to and go run their boats, mind their own business, help others, and have fun. I am quietly working on a small event here, but cannot elaborate more here yet. Sinatra does not like the singing facilities...so I am trying to build a new casino for the rat pack (Dory, Tom, and others) to sing in. LOL.
