how did Dave weather the hull white?

Also, how do people do the white/green scum line?

    Dave has a great video

Dave has a great video about painting and weathering a sub hull. It goes through - in minute detail - exactly how he does it including the scum line, etc.

For me at least, it really helps actually seeing him do it rather than having someone try to explain it. It's definitely worth the price!

Be sure to use the above link - if you Google search on D&E Miniatures, it comes up with some jewelry shop in California!

        Excellent and informative video, and

Excellent and informative video, and I can vouch for that (at least if we're talking about the one where he reworks the Ohio class submarine).

If I'm not mistaken, I believe he used a 'sponging' technique to achieve the white on the above model.

Thats what I thought, it looked like a sponge technique, but I was not sure.
